Professor Jyoti K Parikh is Executive Director of Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe), New Delhi. She is a Member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change –India and is a recipient of Nobel Peace Prize awarded to IPCC authors in 2007. She worked with International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), and Planning Commission, as senior energy consultant at New Delhi. She obtained her M.Sc. from University of California, Berkeley, and Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from University of Maryland, College Park.  She achieved Gold Medal from the Systems Society of India for energy and environment in 1988.
