He is a Founding Fellow of the Meridian International Institute, a Fellow of the Western Behavioral Sciences Institute, and a Distinguished Consulting Professor at the Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center in San Francisco. He served the Academy as Vice-President from 1993 to 2000, and as President from 2000 to 2008.
